Sara & Ben’s Carnton Wedding
October 10th we had the pleasure of working with Sara & Ben and their gorgeous wedding at Carnton Plantation.
Flowers were done by the amazing Bonnie at Belles Fleurs with vases full of apples, HUGE mums, and beautiful fall colors this really added to the feel of the event.
The lighting in the tent by Nashville Event Lighting made the “plain white tent” seem magical & romantic.
And the amazing cupcake display by Cakes by Rebecca, YUM!
The mini cheeseburgers were a huge hit with all the guests.
Lisa & John – Happily Ever After
I met Lisa last fall after her out of state wother found us on the world wide web. Lisa was planning her wedding at St. Philip Church while her fiance was working in California. We discussed some options over the phone and then she came in for a tasting.
This is what she loved:
Sliced Beef Tenderloin
Grilled Chicken Breast
Asparagus
Mashed Potatoes
Rolls
Garden Salad with choice of dressings
Lisa decided to add Lemonade, Iced Tea & Coffee to the food for beverages. I arranged the rentals for the event to include the red napkins that popped off the white tables and coordinated with the bridesmaid dresses. One of the last additions to the wedding was some glass Coca-Cola bottles, they even matched the color theme!
Everyone had a wonderful afternoon celebrating the couple and enjoying all the fabulous food. Congratulations Lisa & John, enjoy your honeymoon in Hawaii!
Grider-Tucker Wedding Reception
We have some great events coming up in the next few months, but I thought we could take a walk down memory lane and showcase some of our previous events.
Julie & Chris got married last June in Kentucky (yes we travel!) on Julie’s family farm. The weekend was perfect weather and Julie was a joy to work with.
The reception took place outdoors in a large tent by the family’s home. They started the evening with cocktails and passed appetizers on the lawn and then moved in the tent for dinner, music, dancing, & lots of fun! Dinner consisted of four seperate food stations spaced throughout the tent. Each station had a fun name and description for the menu card placed at each setting: Classic Cold & More, La Cucina de Amor, Goin’ South, and Mi Amor
Classic Cold and More – The bride & groom really wanted to include sushi in their reception but didn’t want it to be a focal point so we included it with the fruits, cheese, marinated, vegetables, crackers, etc
La Cucinca de Amor (The kitchen of love)
This station went south of the border with our enchilada, salsa, queso, rice, beans, lobster & brie quessadillas, and our famous guacamole.
Goin’ South emphasized the couples southern roots with Shrimp & Grits and Oyster Shooters displayed in a lit ice tray.
Mi Amor was a hit with everyone with the made to order pasta station plus some pre-made pasta dishes and garlic bread.
And to think all of this was created 250 miles away from our base in Franklin in an outdoor kitchen–the options for your event our truly endless!
