Sara & Ben’s Carnton Wedding
October 10th we had the pleasure of working with Sara & Ben and their gorgeous wedding at Carnton Plantation.
Flowers were done by the amazing Bonnie at Belles Fleurs with vases full of apples, HUGE mums, and beautiful fall colors this really added to the feel of the event.
The lighting in the tent by Nashville Event Lighting made the “plain white tent” seem magical & romantic.
And the amazing cupcake display by Cakes by Rebecca, YUM!
The mini cheeseburgers were a huge hit with all the guests.

Early in the day the weather looked questionable with heavy rains and gray skies but the nasty weather came and went to showcase a beautiful summer evening. The clouds that were still lingering made for a beautiful sunset, that along with helpful & fun staff, tasty wine, and jazz music makes for a relaxing evening that takes you away without having to go far!

Wine & Swine 2009
Friday night we participated in Wine & Swine at the Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, TN. The event was gorgeous and benefitted a great cause, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The weather was gorgeous and so was the set up at the Carriage House. All of the restaurants in attendance served a pork (swine, get it?) dish for guests and Arrington Vineyards sponsored the event and supplied some of their very tasty wines. Red Pony Restaurant & SOL Restaurant served Carnitas Tacos with freshly warmed tortillas and choice of salsa. The tacos were a great hit and so was the event!
Grider-Tucker Wedding Reception
We have some great events coming up in the next few months, but I thought we could take a walk down memory lane and showcase some of our previous events.
Julie & Chris got married last June in Kentucky (yes we travel!) on Julie’s family farm. The weekend was perfect weather and Julie was a joy to work with.
The reception took place outdoors in a large tent by the family’s home. They started the evening with cocktails and passed appetizers on the lawn and then moved in the tent for dinner, music, dancing, & lots of fun! Dinner consisted of four seperate food stations spaced throughout the tent. Each station had a fun name and description for the menu card placed at each setting: Classic Cold & More, La Cucina de Amor, Goin’ South, and Mi Amor
Classic Cold and More – The bride & groom really wanted to include sushi in their reception but didn’t want it to be a focal point so we included it with the fruits, cheese, marinated, vegetables, crackers, etc
La Cucinca de Amor (The kitchen of love)
This station went south of the border with our enchilada, salsa, queso, rice, beans, lobster & brie quessadillas, and our famous guacamole.
Goin’ South emphasized the couples southern roots with Shrimp & Grits and Oyster Shooters displayed in a lit ice tray.
Mi Amor was a hit with everyone with the made to order pasta station plus some pre-made pasta dishes and garlic bread.
And to think all of this was created 250 miles away from our base in Franklin in an outdoor kitchen–the options for your event our truly endless!
Prawns, Pork, & Passats
Prawns, Pork & Passats was a tasty and succesful event to support the local boys and girls club. This is one event leading up to main event, Wine Down Main Street, in November.
Watch the video about how all the magic happens.
Some Photos from the event:
Everyone stayed thirsty with the 90+ temperature.
Hot Smoked Salmon Chef Jason prepared in video.
Memphis Sushi Skewers
The spread of food with 100# pig and 100# of shrimp.
The pig may be messy but it sure was tasty.
Red Pony Catering can cater your very own shrimp boil, pig roast, or combination event no matter the occasion.
